What song from a movie soundtrack affected you the most deeply?
(For me, it's a tie between Journey's "Don't Stop Believing" in the Aileen Wuornos movie "Monster," or Crowded House's "Don't Dream It's Over" in Stephen King's "The Stand" miniseries.)
Public Comments
- Unchained Melody from Ghost
- That Faith Hill song from Pearl Harbor. Man, it's really cheesy but it bothers me. haha
- Pretty Woman by Roy Orbison in the movie Pretty Woman
- I agree with Robert D - Unchained Melody is so sad, I bawl when I hear it.
- Cinderella Man, and Winter Passing
- Smoke Gets In Your Eyes performed both by JD Souther and the Platters in the movie Always.
- my heart will go on from titanic. i know it is way overrated but listen to it after you watch the movie it makes me cry everytime.
- the girl next door "this years love" by david gray
- Titanics soundtrack. It went eerily well with the movie.
- Forrest Gump - The whole soundtrack is great but the very last song- it is instrumental and is quite short... the feather is flying in the movie and young Forrest is waiting for the bus to be picked up... it is a piano solo type song... I love it.
- The orchestral theme from Requiem for a Dream
- http://www.stlyrics.com/lyrics/thebodyguard/iwillalwaysloveyou.htm I will always love you,..song by Whitney Houston in the "Bodyguard"
- Love Hurts By Nazareth off the Dazed and Confused soundtrack
- ONE TIN SOLDIER from the motion picture...Billy Jack.
- For me, it has always been "If you leave" by Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark Lyrics; it was on the Soundtrack for "Pretty in Pink" - It was playing at the prom and it was playing when they walked outside to the cars and kissed. I have loved that movie since the first time that I saw it and I have to watch it almost everytime that it comes on TV... I am a sucker for 80's movies I guess.
- 'Dry Your Tears, Afrika' ~ Amistad
- Against all Odds from the movie with the same name. 1984 Phil Collins wrote the song for the movie & performed it.
- i know im a dork but the soundtrack of "Revenge of the Sith" -Padmes death and then A New Hope made me cry SO much! lol. and the "Across the Stars" from Episode II was really powerful as well
- "How Can I Not Love You" from Anna and the King. You only hear the song when it's played during the final credits. It is a sad song about a love that can not ever be. I sang this song for my piano recital. <<<Forrest Gump - The whole soundtrack is great but the very last song- it is instrumental and is quite short... the feather is flying in the movie and young Forrest is waiting for the bus to be picked up... it is a piano solo type song... I love it.>>> This song is the "Forrest Gump Theme", or somtimes called the "Feather Theme". It can be played as a solo or as a duet on the piano. (I played it as a solo) It is a very sweet song that can be easy to play. www.sheetmusicplus.com should have the sheet music for it.
- best friends-how do you keep the music playing.
