  1. I'M SURE we can narrow the answer after reading this from the doctor who interviewed her while in captivity before the execution: I think this anger developed inside her. And she was working as a prostitute. I think she had a lot of awful encounters on the roads. And I think this anger just spilled out from inside her. And finally exploded. Into incredible violence. That was her way of surviving... I think Aileen really believed that she had killed in self-defense. I think someone who's deeply psychotic can't really tell the difference between something that is life threatening and something that is a minor disagreement; that you could say something that she didn't agree with, she would get into a screaming black temper about it. And I think that's what had caused these things to happen. And at the same time, when she wasn't in those extreme moods, there was an incredible humanity to her. She was sick, phycotic ANSWER
  2. I think she looked at prostitution as a way to make money from a man. I truly don't think she liked men to begin with. After being violently raped, her desire to be in control and make every man she had sex with pay for what had happened to her.
  3. She killed out of expediency in committing a crime.
  4. It seems to have come from a need for power/control. If you look at her history, at least the one she claims to have been true, as a prostitute she dealt with being the victim of rape on several occasions. As any rape victim will tell you, rape is a crime of control. It robs the victim of their control, and makes them feel powerless. Aileen claims she was defending herself so she was trying to regain the feelings of power lost from her rape.
